Default Looking for gen. purpose chassis

Hello all,
Im trying to get a crawler going for the upcoming season, and im wondering what would be some good choices, i have the ole reliable stampede tranny, and i also have a xxx tranny. im beefing up the tlt axles now and wil probably go brushless. My goal is to enter some local comps, (MN), but mostly trail running and free crawling. I dont have access to the buy sell section yet, and it seems that all the info on curently available chassis is linked there. Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks

It's hard to find a newly made chassis that works with the stampede tranny. Most new chassis are made to fit the smaller axial tranny. If you want to use the stampede tranny, I would look into buying a star so you can look at the buy/sell section and find a used chassis. If not, I would look at getting an axial tranny and buying a newer chassis. There are many out there to choose from, but you will have to make or find upper axle mounts for the tlt's as most are made for axial axles nowadays.

Chassis to look for that used the stampede tranny would be the old bender chassis and gatekeeper GC3 early release. I think the new bender chassis might still work, but would need new holes drilled in the skid plate.

I have had good luck with the DNA slingshot and Blackjack chassis and tlt axles and axial tranny. But there are many great choices out there(if you run the axial tranny). Plus with the axial tranny you have the option of running dig.

I never up dated it. There is a little sneak peak in post #4 of the chassis. I will post a picture later today after I get to the shop.
