| My First Crawler "Gertrude" **pics**
Further to the thread I started in newbie section before it was built I decided now it was a complete unit (almost) I would start a thread here. Basically The standard TLT SW2 combo. Specs Chassis : SW2 Tranny : PEDE Motor : Integy 55t Lathe Battery : Interlect 7.2v 3000mah Stick Pack ESC : Tamiya TEU – 101BK Servo : Towerpro High Torque Shafts : Maxx Sliders Shocks : MAXX Axles : TLT Links : Traxxas Wheels : RC4WD Ally Narrowed Beadlocks Tyres : Mobs, Mashers Normal wheelbase and clearance Also have some G-Made wheel wideners but i have not fitted them yet. I used Integy Solderless leads on the motor. The shell will be a proline 1970 F100. I am using a JRxs3 as a radio. There are just a few little things I want to finish off. * Floating top shock mounts * Ally front and rear hubs (servo torque twists the placcy ones) * Replace all screws with stainless cap head screws and nyloc nuts. Thats about all really the build was fairly simple with a few time consuming points. Like measuring links and making things clear stuff like that. Apart from that great fun and an exciting learning experience. Without further ado here is some pics for you. Thanks Scott Last edited by Fozzy Down Under; 04-29-2006 at 06:42 AM. |

Nice work, very clean build. It'll be alot more capable if the motor is facing forward.

Looks quite nice! I have to admit that I'm rather partial to those rims. Especially as I look at the way I narrowed my HPI and the funky gorilla glue job. And Bender, you have certainly scored with that chassis design (I certainly am happy with mine!) |
