| TLT length
How much longer than stock would be the optimum lengthening of the rear of the TLT? Clayton |

Wouldn't the front and rear be equal? I know most peeps use 96mm/106mm Traxxas turnbuckles at both ends to stretch the wheelbase to a little over 11". Once your locker diff is done, I'll be using Maxx sliders and 106mm/116mm on both ends to stretch it about another 3/4". |

That is what I wanted to know, people are only stretching it 3/4" Traxxas drive shafts dont allow much longer for front or rear. We didnt want to produce a part that didnt serve the need.. TRA 4628 TRA 4651 I think these are the part numbers people will need. Clayton |

I know a few have modified and reinforced their Stampede sliders so the could stretch it further. Several have theirs stretched to 12" - 12.75". With custom links and Maxx X-long sliders, we should be able to hit 13.5"-14" without too much trouble. That would be for some serious crawling. I'm stretching mine to be a 1/10 scale truck with 2.2" wheels/tires under Maxx bodies.

You can get to 11" by using the Traxxas Maxx turnbuckles 96mm/106mm, HPI 86mm dogbones from the Nitro RS4 MT, and new output cups on the axles. One of the other guys posted the parts in his thread, but I can't remember who...

ive already got mine set up with a aluminum sheet chassis and maxx turnbuckles. my hobby shop had some really old ones that were ti and didnt sell, i think they were the front and back narrow maxx turnbuckles. so i bought all they had last summer and tried to make a decent tlt-10. after some piecing back together and rearranging mounts it looks like my tlt will be 10 to 10.5 inches axle to axle. it will depend on the final ride height i guess. oh, and i use a pede tranny with sliders and the steel output yokes. i hope this rebuild makes it better and not worse! 8O |
