Default Yeah... Another tlt...

Ok, I know, just what everyone wanted to see, another tlt. I just wanted to post a few pics and to thank a few people. First off Pinchflat for the great chassis (passed it's first test today with flying colors). Unimoger for the great beadlocks, and Freetimecralwer for getting the new motor to me so quickly. I won't bore anyone with the details of the build, so on to the pics...

Any "body off" shots?

What chassis is that?

He mentioned PinchFlat so i am going to guess his chassis is one of these...

UTRCRC Jefferson 2.2 TLT Chassis Info

wlfgnggtr - nice truck! but edit your post and throw an "enter" between each pic so they show up in a column unstead of a row... Looks nicer and no side scrolling!

looks nice but it would look even better if you would lower the body a bit.

I wanted to lower the body lower, but I ran into clearance problems, I just clear the fenders and quarters as it sits now. I wanted to run a Bronco body, or a Rubicon body, but it seems that everyone has done that. I'm still looking for the perfect body.

1. Why the different spring rates in the rear?
2. What did you use for the battery tubes?
3. How did you lock the tranny?

I am in the process of building my first crawler, doing a TLT/Jefferson 2.2. I was thinking of going longer in WB, 15" with 60/40 bias. Just trying to collect info and build it right the first time! Ride looks awesome! How do you like the Integy shocks?

I run the different spring rate in the rear to counter the torque twist. It wasn't to bad with the red spring, but the blue spring and heavier oil helps to keep the truck level. I bought the Integy shocks of ebay for what a set of tmax shocks would have cost me. But I do like them.
I made the battery tubes out of a tube from a roll of masking paper. (I work in a autobody shop) It is thinner than regular PVC tubing. It seems to work good, and helps to keep the weight centered. I would have liked to have went a little lower, but I would have been hitting the lower links.
To lock the pede tranny, open up the tranny, remove the diff, and fill it with jb weld, or whatever you preffer for locking.

Looks like a very capable rig, I like the different spring rates that you used to battle torque twist, nice job.
