Default moonbuggy "the kitten"

making a scale version of a campbell car... more specifically my buddy Wes' "wild catter" So this one will be called the kitten

got most of the front done tonight and tacked together

bottom tubes bent... I think I am going to cut them off and take about a 1/4" or so off the bottom

specs will be
tlt axles
12.5" wb
stealth tranny
55 or 65t lathe
rooster
moabs with rc4wd beadlocks (when I can afford them )
3 link front and rear with trac bars, if all goes to plan

more pics tomorrow I am done for the night

Thought about it then run them to a t-case, but thats more work then I want to do So if I feel frisky I will go get a camaro or corvette model and rob it of its LS1

still needs shock and link mounts, the derlin skid, mount the tranny. And I think I may need to re do the back end to make it work sitting so low. Oh and I need to finish welding and clean up all the joints. I didnt have my auto darken mask here so I was just lookin away tacking it

if you put painted lexan on the back between the straight and bent bar, it would look awesome, if no lexan then go straight bars!! Looks really good BTW!
Can you make really small scale tubers? AKA ssmt 1/43 turned into 1/25

update:
Got the rear 4 link tacked on, mocked up and sitting on its own weight. The 3 link with a trac bar just wasnt going to work. I also changed the back alittle to give it alittle more up travel, I liked the old back better and might change it back if I dont lower it. Probably going to lower it though. I also need to tack in the rear bottom supports still. Tomorrow hopefully get the front 4-link all mocked up and have it sitting on its own weight. After that.... mount skid/tranny, make skins and mount, brace a few more things, make sure everything works then take apart and fully weld it

yeah the back will be skinned. skin will run from around the first brace from top to bottom to about the rear shock if not all the way back. I think I am gonna go for the bent bars, they look good. So it wont be fully to scale, but tlt axles are alittle different then currie 9" and I dont have to mount an LS1 so the back is different .

Oh and about the tubers, no idea... this is my first of many hopefully

front 4 link done. 12.5" wb maybe a hair under. It was rollin besides the tranny today. Then I decided I didnt like the front or rear shock hoops. So those are cut off and I am in the process of changing the rear back to how it was
