| my tlt build
whats up everyone , im finally getting back into rc i took a long break for awhile .. i just was over at english town racepark in NJ and i picked up a tlt-1 with no electronics already built for only 65 bucks so i decided im going to make it a crawler / mudder probably mostly mud for when i bring it off roading and quading with us but i deffinetely want to be able to crawl some rocks so yea today all i really did was disassemble it because it was already built so now i can see what im working with haha anyway i plan to lock the diffs do either a 3 link or 4 link some bigs tires for the mud and im not sure what kind of chassis to use but i have an e-max tranny i am thinking about using .. so im not sure if i should use that , if i do use it ill lock it into first so what do you guys think about my project ? p.s. ill have some pictures up tonight |

Welcome to the site! If your post doesnt have any tech its in chit-chat, Just want to let ya know! Heres what would be good for mud/and some crawling, 4 link maxx links 35t lathe motor imex swamp dawgs 2.2 scale chassis-depending on price of what you want to spend- I know a very scale chassis for 65!! ITS AWESOME scale! Like a bruiser chassis! ETC |

yea i plan on going with some kind of scale chassis .. do you guys think i should get a pede tranny or stick with the e-max tranny locked in 1st ? i was thinking either swamp dogs or moabs for the tires |

Don't get Moabs for mud. Moabs suck when muddy. Get swamp dawgs or Masher 2K.

Swampers are better than moabs in mud! I have never had a emaxx trans, so I couldnt tell ya!

haha yea the swapmeat at raceway park i bought it on saturday did you have a spot there ? we had a spot right near that little lake where they water ski hahah saturday night i was riding this little like yamaha 80 up and down it it was siick then one of the security guys were like if you dont get off that we're going to impound it i was like yes sir hahaha

welllll id like this thread to be moved back into the tlt-1 forum .. heres a pic of what i have so far its just the tranny and the axles i drew out the chassis . im making drawings of it right now so ill have a picture of the design in a little bit |

Thats a heck of a deal for a TLT! I have an Emaxx tranny in mine, and I am trying to find a cheap mini servo to shift it with. I would not lock it in either gear. It is nice to have first for crawling, then shift on the fly to second for trail, mud or whatever. Keep us updated... |

shave the axles housings and move the link mounts to the side of the axle and someother stuff and it is looking good btw
