Default Rockwerks TLT build...UPDATED

Ive built a bunch or other RC stuff over the years but never a crawler,

Parts

axles TLT
trans Losi JRT
motor lathe 55t
custom chassis
custom links
2.2 rims proline
masher 2000's
body 13 year old McCalister truck
4 Losi 3.5" shocks
lots of old RC hardware

I decided to build my own laydown chassis.......about 2.5" wide and taperd to 3.5" at the top. and a total of arond 2.25" tall

I will be running 116mm links on both the front and rear lowers and with ride height at 2.75" it lays out to 12.25" wheel base.

I will post more tomorrow as I progress with the build

Interesting. Good luck! And BTW, I used to run that body on my RC10T in the early 90's!

well made some progress today got a ocuple of hours of time on it........still need to adjust the upper links at the axle up about 3/8", flexes without shocks to about 80* total.....at full flex the Drive shafts just scrape the upper arm.....if I get time tomorrow shock towers

Ground clearance is right at 2 3/4" @ 12 3/8" wheelbase

front flex

Well worked on my sons real crawler most of today but did get time to fit the body, make the shock brackets and mount the shocks, Im gonna make the front brackets same as the rear. an alum hoop......nice for roll protection

I need to make taller upper arm axle brackets about 1/2' taller to help with axle twist. I will make those tomorrow

I am going to mount the motor and tranny on a little less of an angle that I have it sitting in the picture to equal out the drive line angles
