Default A few pics.... and some designs...

Ok, so i got the little guy going and it performs GREAT! I am VERY pleased with it! Its been on the rocks, its been in the creek, mudd you name it.. its played there! (cept snow) Here are a few pics!

However... i am having some problems.... my driveshafts are snapping every couple of outings i break a drive shaft, and they twist like CRAZY!!! And the twisting wont allow them to "slide" so no more flexy. Well i came up with this....

Both the male and the female sides will have the "key" i just didnt draw it on there. They are SLIGHTLY smaller in diameter than the stock pede sliders, except these will be made from titanium! This SHOULD solve my shaft breaking issue. The diff gears will probally be next to go..... looks like they will have to be titanium also hehe...

here is the shaft together...

OHH.. and if you are thinking of running Moabs and plan to get muddy.... DONT get the moabs!!!! :? They work great on rocks.. and even wet rocks... but SUCK in the mudd!

Any input would be appreciated on the chassis design...... tricks anything..... i should have my shafts in hand by the end of the week! :-P:-P

I am using a end mill to cut the female out, that is why the edges are rounded. The cut will only be 1.25" deep. Here is a pic showing the depth.

i think u should put maxx shafts on it and there goes your twisting and breaking problem. all u have to do is drill a hole in the pinoin and the shaft coming out of the tranny and they will fit and this will save u some money in the long run, just my .02 cents.

i was gonna do maxx shafts, but as it is.... the axles got hung so i didnt wanna go with them because of the bigger diameter..... also, because of where my links are the maxx shafts are simply to big to fit. Thanks for the input... if i couldve easily fit maxx shafts i would have.... but i cannot..... plus the shafts wont cost me anything to make.....
