| Finished comp buggy "MAC"
specs - tlt axles - locked hand wound 55 turn motor hitec 645 front servo cheap hitec servo for mid-mounted winch 11.75" wheelbase ground clearance - 1.25" with winch loading the suspension 2.75" with winch released mig welded tube frame with alum. panels pede tranny - locked just finished it. I wasn't sure how the winch was going to work out but so far so good. It allows me to run stiffer springs so at normal ride height the wheels don't tend to fall off into holes as bad but allows me to lower the buggy a full 1.5 inches wich lowers the cog drasticly and forces the axles to flex more. It actually works great. With the suspension fully preloaded I can pull sraight up a wall and get the rear tires within one inch of touching before it falls back. Let me know what you think. I'll try and get some better pics later, my camera is dead so these are from my phone. |

Pretty neat idea. Tuber looks way sick, good job. Where is your battery located? Try mounting it on the front axles, see if it changes the vertical climb at all. |

Another call for the mid mounted servo. I'd love to play with that on my tuber chassis.

Looks good. Did you use solid rod or tube? Also what wire did you use with the MIG?
