| White Courier seen in "Elbruto and the boys" vid This truck was my first step into R/C rock crawling. It all started with the simple article from RC Car Action. I started close to their design but changes needed to be made til I was happy with it's abilities. MGT links always caught on edges at the adjuster nut so I raised them all above the axle, but the chassis is still a problem, always catching on stuff. The steering is on the inboard side of the axles. 4WS on a 4ch TX also helps maneuvering but is a mind bender to adjust to. I dropped the gearing to 32p 9t 68t to help stop the roll aways because the esc only has foward to reverse. The truck has the proboat esc for a cheap waterproof controller for those wet trail days. It's an ok esc but it has it's problems too like the power comes on after about 5-10% throw on the transmitter and comes on at what would be 5-10% throttle on other esc's. I have to run a RX pack to asist with the drain from twin servos, but it's good enough for this truck. Oh yah, you can't run your rig down the trail without a Tamiya test pilot from back in the day behind the wheel. Now I have started a new chassis as seen in the photos and on another thread. Here is the link to the chassis without a body: Scratch built folded chassis Here is the link to the cut tires and rims you see on that chassis: Double cut masher 2k Cutting tires and rims isn't too tough if you have a little time and patience. Give it a try. Last edited by Thirsty; 06-02-2006 at 09:41 PM. |

| I've added a roll bar and Nitrous bottle as well as the pizza cutters for fun. Kinda looks like a mudder truck now. |
