Default MGT shocks?

Hey there, I'm working on my first crawler and I was wondering what peoples opinions are on these shocks. They are from the Associated MGT , but you all know that. They seem a bit stiff to me but this is my first crawler and I've only held one in my hands once. The ext reservoir are all fake, but I think a reservoir on a shock this small has a pretty minimal effect any way. I have seen them used on a few rigs, but I would love to hear some of your experiences and advice. I was thinking about useing some Associated T4 shocks, with the longer ones out back and the longers up front for a nice scale look. The anodized blue ones look so sweet too. The 1/10 scale shocks seem to be much smoother than these MGT shocks as well. What do you all have to say?

pics are good for everything right?

I run MGT shocks on my maxx and tlt crawler, I put losi springs on them and put thinner oil in em and they are great, no leaks and smooth

Yeah just put thinner shock oil and maybe softer springs.

I personally use the ofna 1/8 scale shocks. Might try the proline Power Stroke.

ive got those same shocks on my tlt bronco. and i dont like them, with a thin oil and a meduim spring they dont seem to return to normal length on their own,a nd stiffer spring makes them too stiff, these shocks are made to be run in pairs and handle hard impact loads. for a tlt id honestly say try to get a shock with a smaller pison bore, or spend the extra couple $$ and get some integys. my .02 cents
