| Finally got started on my rebuild.
Finally got started on the rebuild of my rig tonight. Been putting it off for a few days now. Got the pede mocked up in the chassis and still have some trimming to do around the spur gear and motor area. Chassis looks like poop right now but it will be painted when it's finished. Got a few parts on order from tower too. I have to replace a stripped diff. and pinion gear so figured I'd start the rebuild. Also got spare axle shafts, gears, cases ans a Super Brain 959 coming. Here's the original and the first rebuild pics. More to come. Comments welcome. Last edited by scruff007; 06-10-2006 at 06:28 AM. |

You are going to want to countersink those screws on the bottom. You would have been better off only screwing them in from the side. They will get hung up on stuff.

Looks good Brian. It has more of a scale look now. You may need to stand the rear shocks up a bit. I did on my TLT and it helped the torque twist a bunch. You will figure it out once you run it a little. I put a Courier body on my TLT for more of a scale look. Can't wait to see your new setup in action. |

Thanks guys. There isn't really much torque twist to it Brando. At full throttle from sitting still the front tire barely comes off the ground. The chassis have very little weight on it. The good thing is the shocks have those collars on the so you can slide them down to stiffen up the shock. See you guys at the next G.T. Hope it's going to be soon. I'm getting bored just running it around the house.

I chose the early bronco because I like the look. And It had large wheel wells. I didn't want to trim the wells unless I had to but it's fine. If I had wideners I would have to trim alot. I like the Jeep Rubicon body too but it had to many small parts on it to be painted different colors. Like the winch and stuff. That's to much detail for me. It probably wouldn't have turned out like the bronco did. Thanks
