Default Spinning hub in wheel

What is the best way to fix a wheel with a spinning hub? I have a set of HPI rims on my tlt (with metal hubs) and keep spinning the hub in high traction situations.

Thanks.

Glue the hex into the wheel w/ some shoe goo. It will hold the hex, but you can still remove it w/ a little persuasion!

I have wideners on these axles and would prefer not to permanently affix the hub to the wheel.

Don't use aluminum hexs first off. especially with HPI wheels. They don't put enough material around the hex to hold up to the non giving alum. hexs. Also plastic hexs are made to better tolerences(from my experiences). Find a wheel that has more material around the hex. I use Duratrax Maxium ST wheels and plastic hexs.

Based on that last post I will be in trouble with my stampede wheels, they look really skinny around the hex. I was already suspicious they would be weak.

Really the shoe goo will work. And it you need to remove it you can, great stuff! Try it. It's cheap and I use it for lots of things. I even locked my TLT diffs w/ it.

all these will fail at some point in time, you can put layers of tinfoil over the hex hole and then shove the hex in and then jb weld it and it will still fail. Its crappy but its something I have come to realize. Im saving for alum wheels hopefully that will fix the problem.

Shoo Goo works really well but will fail eventually. It's great till you can save up for some aluminum wheels.

I've got a birthday coming around the bend....

I'm just impatient!

Thanks for the tips. I think I will try the shoe goo.
