Except for the big line down the middle?

I'm not a big fan of these types of mods. For that matter I don't much like the narrowed rears on some trucks either. Just doesn't look quite right to me.

Default bronco

Nope I wanted to narrow the whole thing not dove tail . Back in the day Pat Gremlin of pul pal narrowed his bronco and John Bundrant also so you can fit through narrow trails that jeeps could fit through . It wasnt about dove tail it was all about narrowing the whole body but the dove tail looks good but you still have a fat body Im dabbling with plastic injecting a couple bodies and wanted to see the response this got of course the real body would be one pice no line down the middle. thanks though.

This has been talked about at least 5 times in the last 6 months on here... no one ever comes through.

The folks who dont like the dovetailling/narrowing obviously dont wheel a 1:1 rig, and dont understand why its done. I have a 1:1 dovetailed EB trail truck and it helps alot when manouvering thru the trees. I would narrow the whole truck but i still drive it to the trail. Narrowing the body enables you to have a lower COG and still keep alot of the original "profile", and keeps the tires out of the body. Same holds true in R/C, and i will pick performance over looks any day. Besides, a modded body is alot cooler than a stock one that everyone else runs.

good job with the body!

i wheel a 1:1 with the front and rear narrowed also and it helps a whole bunch with tight trails. i still have to deal with the wide center though.

Understanding the utility and liking what it looks like are 2 entirely different things.

AMEN!!!!!! my 1:1 rig is a cherry 89 gmc suburban, but my friend has a 73 k5 blazer thats tapered on the front, boatsided, and dovetailed, its amazing the difference that it makes... especially boatsiding and using expanded sheetmetal for flooring afterwards...
