Default SW2 setup questions

I have finally decided to get the sw2 chassis. My question is does the SW2 perform overall better in the 50/50 setup or the 60/40? From what i've seen most the SW2 are 50/50 setup. Im not going to be in any comps anytime soon, but would like the best possible crawler with the sw2, so being super strict at 12.5 isnt a huge issue.

I might as well ask this too, Im thinking about using the rc18 battery pack instead of ip 3300 battery pack? any tips on that? I figured smaller, lighter would be a good tradeoff for lost runtime.

Looking forward to your chassis bender

thx, great forum

I have most of my weight in the front of my SW2. They way the chassis is set-up, almost all the weight of the motor is in the front half of the chassis. Plus you'll mount your battery in front too. That's most of your weight right there. Even though I'm running a 50/50 link set-up, it acts like a 60/40 set-up. If you do go with a 60/40 link set-up, I'd suggest Stampede driveshafts over the 2.5 Maxx shafts I use. It'll give you more room around the upper links in front.

i wouldn't get the little battery if your not going to be doing comps. my sw2 crawls fine with the shocks stood up in the front and an ib 4200. (don't use this setup, it's for a scale look after i messed up my link measurements) go for the bigger batt.

I use the pack that came with my 18T and I get at least a half hour outta that little thing. I also have 2170mah lipos that last well over an hour. With a 4200, you'd be out there all day. Myself, I'd go with the 2/3A (RC18T) packs and save some weight.
