| What to use over links?
I have a 4-link suspension and the 4-40 threaded rod I used bent really easy and I had nothing covering it. My question is what should I use to cover it? Like aluminum, graphite, brake line, steel, etc?

3/16 Brakeline is cheap. It will hold up a lot better. I know someone that can make you some C.Fiber links for a Good Price.

Is that the correct size over 4-40 rod? I don't know what size I need to fit over the 4-40.

I think the carbon was cheaper than the brake line. I'll check it out. EDIT: Nope more money but not much. IT's $3.99 for three feet. Last edited by Cole82; 07-05-2006 at 06:00 PM. |

Yes very similar. It does hold threads ok. It's more flexable than cutting board though. It's like a plastic coat hanger.

I wouldn't go with carbon on the lower links. I had lower carbon links and they broke on the first hard hit on the rocks. I do use carbon for the uppers tho.

I'd got to the .99 cent store and buy some coat hangers. Cut them, drill them out and tap them. Cheap and lots of pretty colors! |
