Default TLT Build - Rubicon - 56k:NO

Ive been working on this project for about a good 2 weeks done. Geting close to the finish. I believe all i have to do is paint the body and thats all. Heres the specs

- Stock Chassis/Tranny
- Hitec 645
- Tekin Rebel 2
- Integy 65t
- Traxxas Receiver
- Custom links
- Custom drivetrain
- Custom axle plates
- Locked axles - Shaved down the corners on the axles.
- Hotbodies Tmaxx Shocks
- Moab Tires on HPI Spike rim

So far the crawlers has been working really well. After doing some testing i notice a significiant amount of crawling ability after flipping the shocks over (so the resivor is at the bottom) and from shaving the axles. The stock tranny has been working fine, but the stock chassis is horrible. I only have 2 inches of ground clearance and i always get high centered. Any ideas?

This are pretty out of date pictures from all the mods ive recently done. Ill try to get some more recent pictures after i paint my Rubicon body. Tell me what you think so far.

pretty good for a stock chassis now all you need is a good one, you allredy have the parts to swap over to it!

I want to either make a custom chassis or buy a bender. I will probably atleast try to make a custom chassis, to save some money and to have the uniqueness of having a custom chassis.

Give me until tomorrow and I will show you my newly finished rig. I used the stock chassis (I am your total cheap, budget builder) and the usual Pede tranny and Traxxas links. Check for a post tomorrow... It might be in the scale rigs section, I don't know for sure yet.

Heres my shaved axles.

I also flipped my shocks over and it has worked 10 x better.

try mounting shocks more vertical, or the end of chassis.

I had my stock chassis setup just like Muscle stated. Did not drive very well at all. Very bouncy and the articulation was piss-poor at best. I have mine setup similarly to AdmiralDog and get good results.
