| Comp TLT......Using T-S technology.
Here's my latest Comp tlt using...yes another torsion stick design. I built my first version after i saw syco133's "Pimpcane" for the clod. I used the same idea but for aTLT. The first version i used C channel and realized that the TLT axles are to narrow and don't give enough leverage to give it decent suspension travel. One thing about a torsion stick though is that there so well balanced that they don't need much travel, but i figured that having a tad more articulation would only help it and make it even better. So i thought of a different channel. Although it didn't give it much more travel, but one thing it did do is allow it to flex more easy which helps a lot in its performance. Specs: TLT axles Torsion stick chassis Pede tranny w/55t lathe rooster ESC and hitec servo mashers 2k's on HPI wheels. One thing that i really like about the torsion stick design is that you don't have to worry about popping links ends anymore, which makes it almost indestructible... Here are a few pics....no body offs yet....those will come tomarrow, the wiring is way to embarrassing to show off right now.. |

Rockwerks: The GC is 2-3/4" Crawlsalot: From the naked eye it seems to have virtually the same on each side, I'll get some measurements to be sure though. Q: Im not exactly sure what you said, but it has almost zero torq twist. Last edited by bigred; 07-10-2006 at 06:55 PM. |

How do you consider it a comp chassis with such low clearance? All the suspension and articulation talk seems pretty pointless if you are going to hang up on the smallest of rocks. Not being mean, just pointing out an observation. |

I see what you mean, so far the low clearance has not been a problem. My plan was to take advantage of not having shocks and have a super low CG and so far im happy with it, but you never know things change.... Don't worry, constructive comments are what help me re-think. | |
