I used the nylint planetary gear set and axle gear in a transmission once.

I ran the planetary box to the axle gear, then to another gear (putting less strain on the nylint gear). It was slow, just about right for me, but the nylint planetary popped within 30 minutes of normal use.

Although, I had to squeeze in a bigger motor (280 I think) to get any kind of power out of it. Even with all the reduction, the nylint motor didn't have enough grunt to move 4 moabs.

My esc did get really hot too.

thanks tyler, but i might just use the axle on a 1/20th scale truck, so not as much power will be expected
do you guys now of a link where some one has used the 1.18th body for a scaler but didnt have to chop up the body to make a pede trans fit ?

i searched there is just so many nylint threads
