| scale tj tlt-1 Here is my new tlt-1. I am using a new bright jeep tj body. The wheelbase is only 10.5" but, I really want to use this body so I am going to try it. Let me know what you think. Sorry for the bad pictures. |

the body seems a little small i would eiter get smaller taires for a scle look or just get a bigger body like the proline rubicon or scrambler and get a longer wheel-base with the bigger body, or you could cut out the rear fender and keep the wheel-base and body matt |

The tires do look a bit big, maybe some Geolanders or losi smasher tires would suit it better? Body looks good though. And is that a penguin chassis underneath?

It is a penguin chassis. I'm waiting for vertigo to get the center lockers back in stock so I can get it going. I'm not 100% on which tires I will run. The tires/wheels are off another tlt I am working on. I'm using a stampede tranny, a boyer chassis, and maybe some duallys I made up on that project. Too many ideas too little time. Thanks for all of the input.

The only bad thing is that the wheelbase is only 10.5". It's hard to stretch it past that and it still look halfway scale.

Looks great the way it is! Don't worry too much about the 10.5 inch wheelbase, my tlt-10 is only 11 and it crawls quite well. Obviously you'll have to stick to obstacles that match the size of your truck, but that's part of scale crawling. Looks like you have some residue from the stickers. Have you tried goo gone or anything to get it off yet? |

The only thing I have tried is rubbing alcohol so far. I was not sure what would and not harm the body.

| Re: scale tj tlt-1 Picture sucks, my little girl dropped her juice cup on my camera and now it takes really bad pictures. I hope santa brings her a new one! I got the body from K-Mart. I paid $20.00 on the "blue light special". It is missing the remote but, who cares all I want is the body. I think their was another I'll check this weekend and get it if so. If I find it I will sell for cost. I don't think it had a remote either. |

That body looks sweet on that chassis. I like the narrowed Mashers. They tuck nicely under fender flares. |

I'm going to use the narrowed mashers, I just have to narrow the wheels. I checked K-mart and the other jeep was gone. I got a new camera for Christmas so I'll post some better pix.

i found a rubicon jeep at walmart, its 20$. i dont know what brand, its red. has ugly tires, but the body looks extremely similar to what you got, very scale, has about a 9.5 in wheelbase. they only had one left, and this was the only RC i could find with similar dimensions to what i have now. i checked kmart (nothing), walmart, and toys R us. i found a huge 1:6 rubicon at Toys R us, but it was really long (16 in wheelbase, over 20 in long. also was 100$. but looked alot better than what i got. id consider lengthening my stuff if i could find that 1:6 rubicon for less than 30$. it was awesome. i took a crappy pic with my phone, but i dont have my link so ill post later. |
