Built up a black SW2 today....and some 1/4 inch delrin links. This black setup is such a nice change from the norm. Anyway let me know what you think. I will get some more pics up once I go through them.

Looks nice i wish i could afford asw2 cahssi still saving for a real one all i have is a crappy scale chassi that i traded for

That looks friggen sweet! Btw, what body mounts are you using for the rear? I must have bought one of the last silver ones since i dont even have it yet, but you already built a black one!

hot bodies threaded shocks(HB springs rear, losi yellow front.
venom 1200mAh battery packs
65t lathe
18/87 gearing
12.5 wb
1/4" wider in front
hpi 5spoke wheels, moabs
dovetailed rubi body(shoe goo is good)
mostly just the normal stuff, if you want to know more let me know.

as for the body mounts, I think they are out of an hpi body mount pack...ill try and find a part # for that one.

thanks for the good words guys.

it may have seemed like a quick build, but only the chasis, links, body, tires/wheels, and other small parts are new. I rebuilt the tranny and axles, but they are not new.

I got my black delrin rod from a place near Chicago called McMaster Carr and they have a website for ordering all kinds of materials and hardware.

The dovetail seems to hold up great, i just cut it, drill holes/screw it together near the bottom, and shoe goo it. After you dovetail it sometimes it bows, so I usually boat side it to eliminate the bowing. I have done this to my 2 previous rubicon bodies and they have held up fine, even after 20ft cliff drops straight to the body. another good thing about it is it allows you to sit the body lower=lower cog.
