Default Lathe 55 Problems after Pede install

After installing a pede tranny (locked) My Lathe 55 turn motor smokes and will only move the car at full throttle. I checked the connections and made sure nothing was hitting the gears(motor and tranny). Drive shafts spin freely, so no binding.. I can move the spur gear by hand and it is alot easier to turn than stock tranny was..

The spur gear clears the chassis, so I'm thinking a bad motor(only 2 months old).

oh, looks like I have something coming loose also, ha.

Are the screws you used to mount the motor to the trans too long and hitting the armature inside? It also looks like you have a pretty bad gear mesh going on there as well.

in the pic, it looks like that spur is hitting the chassis, but it might just be that pic

spur is hitting, that bolt backed off, and that made it go towards your spur, being on that side, and your mesh is bad too becuz its getting pushed,
Fawker out!

I corrected the mesh problem, waiting on new Batt to charge. I wish the spur gear was rubbing, that would be an easy fix. I backed out the mounting screws and it didn't help:-(. I'll let you guys know if the new mesh helps.

Should, it was so tight that it couldnt move, unless you gave it full throttle, makes good sense!
