Default trying new painting techniques

hey,

the old body on my tlt was getting all thrashed from dragging on the rocks and tumbling down them. so i decided to get a new body, but i wanted to try a little more challenging paint job. I found this how to paint dvd from xxxmain.com that had showed some great techniques. so i tried using some paint masks and tried doing a 3 tone color fade on the mask pattern. the masks separated a little bit and there was some color bleeding, but for my first try at this sorta thing, i think it turned out pretty good. the color scheme kinda looks like it should be on a car body (and not a crawler), but it was fun to do anyway

here at some pics....

Pretty good, my first boday came out about the same. Except my flames were solid orange, instead of rasta. I might be able to go dig up a pic if anyone wants to see.
