| My new SW2/TLT
pretty much the same as everyone else's. 12.5 wb. running a 55t lathe for the moment. i have a holmes revolver bl, but i'm still thinking about what esc to run. also using the stock kit shocks with longer ball ends. if they work, i'll keep them. hi tec 645 servo, locked out rear steer. pro-line masher 2k's that i cut and shut, on narrowed HPI wheels. i'll take it out this sunday and see how it does! great design, bender! this thing practically built itself! oh yes, the metamucil is mine! us older rock crawlers need some help once in a while. good eye julie! aaron, the total width measured from the outside of each wheel is 10 inches. the tires don't come close to the links at all, so the steering is insane! skidoo, first i painted under the shell on the hood area. then i masked off the windows and the hood indentations, sprayed the outside with black lexan paint. then i went over that with flat black. there is a small clique in the so cal crawlers group, the flat black crew. we are getting larger in numbers! the tires were my first attempt at doing a cut and shut. i'm telling you, i was real nervous cutting up a brand new set of tires! it's real easy to do and they came out great. |
