Default EMaxx or Stampede for Crawler???

Well I am been looking for sometime now.... for one of these tranny's

To go in my TLT Buggy...

I know both reguire mods... and both have been talked about...

For replacing my Belt driven tranny...

I noticed the emaxx tranny has mounts for two motors???

So which one is the better of the two... and reguires less space and work....

Thanks

pede.

I'd think an E-maxx would be too big and overkill for a tlt truck.

I figured that...

Not to many of those out there for-sale...

Anyone else...

Plus if you have pics, with it mated to the motor, and a GD600 would be sweet

No difference. Pede, Rusty, and Bandit (I think!) all share the same tranny.

Gyahhhhh..... Just a quick note on posting, usually paragraph breaks are only used when changing subjects or when you are changing who you are addressing. Its just hard to read what you posted there.

Anyway, I have seen 2 or 3 TLT's with emaxx trannies, but the biggest complaint I always hear about when people use an emaxx tranny in any project is slop inside the tranny when they try to lock out 2nd gear. I am not sure which one has more of an internal gear reduction, but it can be done. So if you really can't find a rustler/pede tranny and you're dying to build it up, then just go for the emaxx tranny.

yes the pede, rustler, and bandit all use the exact same tranny. The parts that come off the tranny that the a arms attach to might be different, im not sure, but it doesnt really matter because you will probably end up cutting them off.

Use a pede tranny with a gd 600 reduction and aluminum idler gear. Small, bulletproof in a tlt, no slop at all, and plenty reduction to turn sliders into plastic scrap.

i used a pede tranny with a home made chassis i now have serious ground clearance and a battery that sits underneath .As for gear ratio if you use traxxas 32dp you can get a very good range very easy

Just get the tranny. Don't get a GD600. You have to do some modding to the GD600 to get pinions to fit and stuff. Run the truck with the tranny then see if you need a lower gear ratio. I'd hate to see you spend $20 on something you don't even want/need.

Get a good motor though. Either a T600 or a Lathe motor. Both have awesome torque and looooooong run times.

As low as you can go. I run a 12t and an 87t spur. But get a higher turn motor, like the lathe or T600.
