That looks really nice. I love the pinched body, I've done a Bronco but that makes me want to do a c10.

1 question, If it's a comp rig why the 14" wheelbase or are you guys running a 14 class?

i'll try to answer this one.. if we ever had a comp (we haven't yet because there's only three of us that get together) i don't think we'll limit the wheelbase just the tire size.

not sure about dilligaf but i set up mine to 13.5 just to improve approach and departure angles (90*). i know it's not the same but that helps out alot with the 1:1's

that only works if you hve chassis and body hanging out past the tires. not needed for a 2.2, matter of fact unless you are crawling over long smooth rocks, the shorter 12.5" wheel base will be very benificial.

Its called BOA (break over anngle) the point at which the center of the chassis just touches an obstacle.based on tire height and ground clearance at CL of chassis a 12.5" wheel base rig at 3" of ground clearance has the same BOA as a 14" wheelbase rig at nearly 4", assuming you use the same tires on each rig.

i can see what you mean about the BOA and 12.5 is best in that situation.
with a low sitting body i like to have the front tires sticking out past the body a bit so it doesn't get hung up on climbs.

one thing about the longer wheelbase is mine turns like a bus. rear steer or front dig would help me out a bunch. (or a shorter wheelbase :-P )

tire width has nothing to do with it

neither does climbing.....its going over the top that you get hung up on, that a 12.5 would easily walk over.

i think you and i are talking about two different things. i'm talking about the length of the rig not width.

anyways i think we hijacked d.i.l.l.i.g.a.f.'s post enough.
