Default Maxx tires on tlt axles

ok i have heard about being able to mount maxx tires on a tlt with out too much strain on drivetrain. but i have a few questions. what tires will work that arent to big. and would i want to use some wideners? or would that be more strain? and im guessing that the adaptors would widen it some.

thanx

2.2 seem to work good. But i think wideners will put more stress.

I'm so confused. Why do TLT people buy the smallest axle they can find, and then try to put huge tires on it?

I've heard 5" is sort of a max. Wheel wideners make it hard on your servos to turn. (Of course, I ignore words max, reccomended, and no)

Cuz they're cheaper dave...

You might break the little axles inside the case, but otherwise will be fine. I wouldn't run more than a 6" tire, though the k-rocks would look sweet on there. You know imex is coming out with a 5.5" tire that fits 2.2's right?
