Default Diff oil

Does anyone run any kind of oil in their axles. If so, does it seem to help? I've just stripped out my 3rd ring and pinion gears (shimmed) in the rear and was wondering if oil would help in anyway. I haven't even stripped the original ones in the front axle yet after 9 months of crawling. thanks.

I only use grease on my gears, I've never stripped a ring and pinion. Are you running ball bearings or bushings?

I'm running bearings. I know the rear axle takes most of the load but it has got bound up right when they give out. Iguess they are continually wearing from new until you bind it up just hard enough to flatten out the teeth. Thanks for the replies.
