| Stretch it out.
This is where I am so far. Links were made using 6-32 all thread and 1/4" brake line. Wheels and tires are from a Nylint 1/6 Jeep. HPI MT2 dogbones for the center shafts. Radio will be Spektrum, power plant is an Integy 55T Lathe Motor. Still have some more work to do. Still have to make the steering links and possibly relocate the upper shock mounts and figure out what body to use. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. http://www.bannedrc.com/forum/files/tlt_015.jpg http://www.bannedrc.com/forum/files/tlt_016.jpg PS. How come I can't upload pics here? |

http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/annou...t.php?f=10&a=1 I'd suggest lengthening the wheelbase with those tires. You'd get better performance if you used a smaller tire.

I will probably run a smaller tire in the end, but I just wanted to see if I could get these mounted and see how they would work out. Now I just have to find a decent body for it.

Advanex ,definitely change the tires and wheels out to a 2.2.The 1/6 scale tires are way to big for the wb that you are running.Stretch the truck out to @ 12 - 12.5 inches, throw on a set of 2.2s and you'll be much happier with the looks and performance of the truck.

Man, I was snapping axles with 2.2 tires, I can't imagine what those things are gonna do.

I plan on having it ready to run by this weekend. I don't plan to do any competition with it, just to have fun around the house. That's why I wasn't real worried about what wheels and tires I use. I will probably go to the stampede rims and moab tires in the end, but for now, I'm gonna keep the big tires and see what happens. If something breaks, then oh well, I'll just fix it and downsize the tires at that point. I basically just wanted something different than everyone else.

The wheels and tires shoule be fine if you take it easy on it and not push it to hard. Let off the throttle when the axles get jammed up. If your running the stock TLT tranny? I'm not sure if it would slip to much with those tires or not. But if the belt slips on the tranny that might help you from breaking axles. Ya you need to lengthen that wheelbase to 14in at the shortest.
