SO, the thing is a TLT is 119 (cheapest) nad that still needs many things to run, like radio nad other items, not to mention putting it together, but the VMG is 99.95 RTR and looks pretty cool, now my questions are, 1) how much size difference is there between the TLT and VMG stock for stock 2)how much does it take to get a VMG into a scale crawler 3)is it possible to make it into a scale crawler? thing is moneys tight (this is what happens when you are a photographer for a living) so can you guys help me out? mario |

1) stock tlt i believe is 9" wheel base. VMG is 140mm wheelbase. 2-3) i dont know if my vmg could be considerd scale with my body but it is 9" wheelbase with some 2.2's. It only took me 3 bucks for the metal tubing, 3 bucks for the 4-40 rod, 9 bucks for the balls and ball ends. and 5 bucks for some jb weld. the tires were 60 bucks rims and tires. the shocks were 25 bucks, the gear reduction was 16 bucks, and the servo mod was about 25 for the mounts 25 for the servo and about 6 bucks for the balls cups and rod and 6 or so for the servo saver. also locked both front and rear axels and i am using my mini t battery pack. check out my vmg here http://rccrawler.com/modules.php?nam...&t=5505652 if you want links and have other q;s shoot away. |

The VMG is pretty inexpensive $90 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...06982&rd=1 plus you can do many of the mods with just the 4-40 rod, by cutting up and re-using the included Red rods for extended links. You can also use the red rods for a axle mounted steering servo mount. Saving you a grip! Cheap Cheap Cheap Axle mounted servo w/ hacked up red rods snaps right on to factory ballends in factory holes. EASY & CLEAN |

If your plan to make a scale crawler, then go with the TLT. Parts will be easier to find and it seems to be very popular for scale setup. It will cost you some $$$ though. I personally love the VMG. I currently have 2 of them now. A crawler and stock. There isnt too much product support for the VMG so you have to be creative. ..this is the reason why I went with the VMG. The fact that Venom is discontinuing the production of the VMG here in the US isnt really helping Either. But we diehard fans of the VMG is still going strong. Dremmel and JB weld are my two best friends Just my 2 cent... |

I love my MG like most ppl that buy them. It is alot of fun to Mod and easy to do also. Like Beast said it takes a little thought on some modifacations for lack of aftermarket support but thats all the fun.
