Talking Trouble Maker 2 Buildup

Got my chassis in the other day. Started collecting parts and planning everything out.

First thing I noticed about the chassis is there are more than one way to assemble it. Which is great because I never leave anything alone. But for starters im going to assemble it the way paulezk designed it for with a slight twist.

That isnt the bodies final placement, I am going to have the chassis stick through the hood and bed to slam it evem more.

On with the pics!

More details to come.

That is what I was wondering too.
I'm thinking it was a design he used? He also says there are more ways than one to assemble the chassis..?
Looks prime though

The extra plate (one for each side) is for bracing and more options for link mounts.

Here is an idea of what the finished product should look like

It would also be illegal for comp use, would it not? It's not a 1/10 scale body, right?

I'm asking... not starting crap!

I would say its legal. A stampede is 1/10th scale so thats why im assuming. I got the idea of using the body from the utah guys, saw a few of their rigs with it and really liked it. We will see what the norcal group has to say

Right you are! I always thought they were 1/12th. My bad!
I am so going to use a dragster 1/10th scale body on my stick(like copy)!

just be sure not to cut the fenders too much so 70% of the body still remains!

Where are you guys sending your designs to get cut like that? I tried searching google for "waterjet" and "cnc" and different variations of both and all I could come up with were huge commercial places or the actual machines. is it pretty pricey to get these cut if you only want like 2 pieces?

Check out the vendors section. Thats where I got this chassis, they have their designs made in bulk amounts and sell them to us (the public).

best thing to do would be to get out your phone book and call up local machine shops and see who would be willing to do it. It will be expensive unless you have friends.

If you want to pay a $65 setup fee and then the actual cost for cutting the item, so you're looking probably 130 for 2 pieces, sure you can do it that way.

I really love the look of that chassis. I have to get my other ones built before I buy another one first!

So you're teling me I should offer this one up too? If I did, I'm not modifying the design any further, TM3 is that. I would offer it with a delrin skid plate though.
