Traxxas rod ends have a bit more play.

That's a pretty extreme angle for any rod end. So far, I found Jato rod ends have the most movement. They're pretty beefy too. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKMD6&P=7 |

You're going to have binding issues if your links are at that extreme of an angle. Traxxas or Dubro standard ends have a good amount of flex to them. You'll want to use conical washers to help get as much flex as you can though.

You could also make a V that comes down to 1 point, then just link that one point.

I did some links like that, I just bent the end of the links to help straten out the angles @ the ball link. It worked out well, but it's not eazy keeping the bend right at the end of the link while U are bending it:-P

That's a stout looking skid, is it plastic or bent sheetmetal? Looks like you got your links figured out pretty well, ended up close to the type of setup my TJ 1:1 has, works well full scale so I figure it'll probably work well for you too. You should post a buildup thread on your rig...

the skid is a peice of plastic from those collapseable road signs. dont ask should i stand the front shocks up some more or will torque twist not apply on the front shocks? dont worry im sure there will be some permanent zipties on there somewhere. and since this is my first build and i realy dont know what im doin just yet i didnt feel i should be making a writeup. but dont worry though its stages there will be pics. |

Tubers are so much fun. Your front end looks a little like mine. Have fun.
