| 3-link vs. 4 link...
So I decided to reconfigure my links so I could move the lower link mounts off of the bottom of the axles. They were hanging up all the time. I decided to try a 3-link this time just to see what the results would be. My first 4-link set up was inducing a lot of twist-steering effect. The 3-link setup I have mocked up has about the same amount of articulation as before, but now it hardly makes the tires "steer" at all. Seems to be an improvement, but my only complaint is the side-to-side play of the whole chassis is now a lot worse than it was with the 4-link. Is this just a 3-link trait I have to get used to? I still have to finalize the inboard upper link mount, I think that is where most of the play is. Anybody running a single upper link and have any input??? |

What RcE said, the 2 lower links have to be triangulated. nearly touching on one end. And the 3 link wont help with torgue steer unless the position on the chassis is much different than the 4 link. pics would help |
