Default Battery Placement

i see alot of people using 2/3 A size packs for comps but for a trail rig i want to use a sub c pack. my dilemma is i don't like putting the pack on the links or the axles as it looks like crap imo. iam making a chassis rite now and the pack placement is holding me up. any ideas ?

heres a link to my chassis...

you could hang them off the side. these were in mockup

and this is the finished rig

worked pretty well. i used some industrial velcro to hold them in place.. nice and low for the CG and hidden under the body pretty well. never hung up on anything either

I know you said you wanted to go with a sub0c pack, but using the smaller 2/3A cells would open up many more options in terms of placement. Just something to think about.

slobin3d, that is how i had my jefferson chassis set up. saddle pack ,3 on each side. worked well but still i didnt like how it looked. i even made lexan covers for the packs.

i like the run time i get with the sub c. the highest 2/3 i know of is the 1400 intellect. you are rite it would open up alot of possibilities.

Sub-C's in a 2.2 trail make for a TOP HEAVY rig. The way I see it, build 2 1400 2/3's A cells for the same price as a sub-C. And you will get the same run time and have a better handling truck
