Default TLT 1 / Pede Gearing???

I searched this forum over and over looking for an answer to my question and I couldnt find one. Could someone please help me.

I have a TLT 1 and I am going to install a pede tranny into it.I am currently waiting for my pede tranny to arive. I have decided that I am going to put in a Permax 600 motor and a 12 tooth (48p) pinion and a 87 (48p) tooth spur. Will any spur work on a pede tranny or do I need to get a special one? I was thinking of getting this set up. Will it work? I dont have access to a LHS. I have to order everything on line.

That setup sounds familiar...

I just used the traxxas 87t spur and a losi 12t pinion. As long as they are both 48 pitch, and not metric 48 pitch, you'll be ok.
