Default **RCP Crawlers TLT CVD's**

When I first heard RCP was going to be making CVD's for the TLT, I just knew I had to have them. Then I got word that I'd be recieving a set to test. Well, the anticipation was killing me. Monday came & they showed up. I tore into the box & started to install them. Here's a pic of everything included.

Above you can see the steering angle the CVD's will give you. Also, you can see the two different width hexes they come with. The smaller ones give you a stock width, while the wider ones add about 1/2".

Get ready to bust out the Dremel, there's alot of grinding to do.

Here's a comparison with modded drive cups(top) & CVD's(bottom).

Last one, RTR.

Thanks RCP for bringing us new & high quality crawling parts.

I had to grind alot of material off the axle C's & also from the knuckle arm. All for more clearance so the steering throw can go as far as possible.

DTP, are you running the wide or narrow hex's on yours. When Jason and I were putting our's in we could not use the narrows because the gain in steering caused MAJOR rubbing of the shocks and links. It looks like your wire chassis won't have any problem though. I was running Tobee wideners (24mm I think) so with the wide hex I was still narrower than before I would like to be able to move my tire out a little more.

The only one's out are the set's that some of us got for testing, so there is no determined price as of yet. But as soon as they do set a price you better be ready with paypal cuz RCP is gonna sell a grip of these in a hurry!

We had to do stock width for people who want these for scale applications, we knew they would rub.

Since the current trend for comp rigs is narrower, we decided that 1/2" overall was a good number, and we knew this would clear most set-ups without going too wide. We could lengthen the stub axle and go another 1/4" overall, but this is the first I have heard anyone ask. If we did this though, the cost would obviously increase. We want to keep the price down as much as possible.

You are supposed to be telling me this stuff like this

Sheldon, Thanks for the great write up and pictures. I hope you like em.
