Default TLT Crawler

Heres my TLT crawler I have been working on the past few weeks. I mounted the shocks on the lower links like Clods because I couldn't find anywhere else to mount them.

Thanks for the words everyone! And BTW, Snail, that is a Rustler with a custom made lexan chassis! I'm gonna convert it to inboard motor too. It's crazy fast with a Mamba Max 5700, and wheelies are crazy! To bad I stripped my differential gear though.. Also, if you're wondering where I got that chassis, I built it. It's cut out from a Savage TVP, I guess you could say I'm useful with what I got.

I have some pics here with tires on. I am going to use M2k's but not these ones. I have a question though for the crawler weight gurus. Would mounting the battery (IB1400 6 cell) on the rear axle servo mount be bad? There will be no servo so it will be lower than up on the front servo.

Great build, I like it so far. I tried the batterys in the back as well and didn't like it, I'm no crawler veteran by any means but I found that mounting them on the front servo helps the break over and mine crawls alot better with the batterys mounted forward. Again sweet build and keep those pics comming.

I ran my batt on the back for the same reason you mentioned. I just had to add a bunch of weight to the front axle to get the bias back to the front.

nice build! very nice cog. i think you should leave the battery where it is. its not that high in the air. it still looks below the tires and its good to have the weight toward the front. good work. i want to see a video when your done.

what is the wheel base?

The wheelbase is at just around 12.5. I think it's a little bit less though. I'm not looking to run this in comps, just for a little back yard fun. BTW, this is what I got to work with.

Don't mind the Savage, but look at those rocks! They are kinda slick though...
