chivas72 06-06-2007 01:24 PM

cog is very important

xxizzer421xx 06-06-2007 01:31 PM

seems to do fine though

cartronicshn 06-06-2007 01:45 PM

hey you are asking for advice right ? chivas and i have both been through the whole xrc setting up deal, so if you feel that your setup works for you, and if you are happy with it that's all that counts"thumbsup" .... until you put it up against an xrc that is correctly dialed in;-)

chivas72 06-06-2007 02:01 PM

thanks to mascman for his post i got the maxx shafts taht i had lying around on the Chivas Jeep

these are the tools i used and before and after pics

the stones i sthe exacts size of the tlt stock drive cup and the other grindy thingy is a perfect match to drill the hole for the pins that holds the cup in the yoke, the gribder is used for the tranny side yoke

http://laredocp4x4.casanovaspeedshac...d/DSC02805.jpg

this is a pic of the other side of the yoke with the cup inside and pin also. for me it was easier to put the cup inside the yoke first and once it's in place dremel the hole for the pin thru the pin hole of the yoke with the cup inside. remeber no to let any of the cup protrude from the ujoint side or you will bind

http://laredocp4x4.casanovaspeedshac...d/DSC02807.jpg

here is the pic of one side of the tranny the pin goes straight thru as the tranny mount has a predrilled hole

http://laredocp4x4.casanovaspeedshac...d/DSC02809.jpg

here is the spur side this part had to do a little mod to the tranny case

cartronicshn 06-06-2007 03:33 PM

xxizzer421xx 06-06-2007 05:24 PM

well i did it seems to work fine but i messed up one of those tlt yokes and i drilled my pinion about half way so the set screw will sit inside the pinion a little bit it seems to be on good n tight and straight but i just messed up one tlt yoke so i guess i will have to findanother
