I run Delrin links on everything now. The Delrin glides over the rocks, it's light and it has a little give for hard rollovers. The slight give in the links usually helps to save other parts from breaking during the harsh rolls. Plus the Delrin is alot easier to work with, then aluminum.

i am going to make some delrin links for exactly the reasons bender said. the alum is soft so sharp rocks dig into it and hang up. and with a delrin link you can turn down the end so its the smae size as the rod end.
only hard part i guess is center drilling the solid rod

I run 8-32 all thread rod sleeved in 1/4" delrin tubing with jato rod ends. The best of both worlds imo. Super stong and still super slick, plus you can run a smaller diameter delrin tubing and still have them be stronger than solid delrin links of a larger diameter, and you get a little more clearence too.

Nice new chassis Bender. By the way, where is the place to get Delrin rods and / or plates?

Thanks.

You can find Delrin at local plastic distributors, or online at www.mcmaster.com shipping can be expensive though.

US plastics sells all sorts of rods/tubes/sheets. They are reasonably priced and shipping is manageable. They also don't mind dealing with small orders.
