hi everyon i am in the process of scratch building a pair of 2.2 crawlers one with clod axles for my father and a tlt for me. This all droop style setup realy interests me and i was wondering if some of you can post some of your setups or any specic design or geometry i need to be aware of to make it work proprtly shock type shock oil weight and what internal spring and lenght if any (i have herd some people use mini t spring but which one and what lenght) thanks pics would b helpfull also i read lots of post but never foud a clear answer |

i am curious myself, i have seen more and more tubers running this droop. Just for fun i took hte springs off my tlt crawler and i could notiv\ce a big difference in cog, and it was cool because the shocks would decompress when it was high centered. But i amtoo wondering what people use on the inside. It seems like the shocks wouldn't want to de compress if there were springs inside holding the piston down

I'm using some Traxxas big bore shocks and on the front of my tuber, I have the shocks angled enough that the weight of the batter above them compress the shocks and allows it to have the entire shock travel for droop and sit really low. You can check out my buildup for my 100-proof tuber to see what I'm talking about.
