So after a year long hiatus from the hobby I got the itch to build another crawler. After reading on here a bit I was set on a 1.9 scale truck so i ordered my Dtrail12 and a set of hi-lift axles/tires.. so while waiting for all of this to come in the mail.. I got bored and sorta antsy.. then my Dtrail12 arrives.. It looks incredible! but the axles and wheel/tire combo are still a week and a half out on the slow boat... So I gave a call to Diaz and sent him a couple drawings. A few days later it arrives.. Now I've been designing this chassis for over 2 years and i really thought I'd just never get it made.. sort of a comp design.. but i don't really have too much interest in being in a comp at all.. but what the hell. after so long.. i kinda owed it to myself to see what it would like off the paper. I really wanted to hold back on this till it was ready to take some action pics.. but I couldn't resist. Not too bad I guess.. I wonder if i should get out any of my other old designs. Anyway.. she still needs links (I hate making them) and the Rebel 2 to mount up front... and that body has to go.. but other than that she should be ready to go pretty quick.. Now the only question is.. do I paint up that mint in bag FJ40 I've been stockpiling.. or do I save it for the Dtrail12 and get myself a bug body like everyone else (I'm actually an insane VW fanatic) |

Yeah but if they weren't so cheap I'd definitely go with something a little smaller.. still I amazed at how smooth and nicely these came together.. Now i have to figure out what to use on the R2 in the Dtrail12.. Gonna probably look into some Jato shafts I think. Any thoughts? |

Nice build. Your Jeep looks good up there. So you had the chassis and servo plates custom cut? Did that cost you and arm and a leg? Or just and arm?....... Whats sitting behind your crawler? Is that a Micro T? Looks like it's got some foomies on there |
