| XRC chassis dimensions
With everyone getting one of these chassis im interested in the over all height and length. I would also like the length of the flat part where the tranny mounts.

People frown upon giving out dimensions of products they worked hard to engineer... they feel no need to give any idiots a head start on copying them. |

Not trying to copy just interested in them before i purchase. I need something that has an overall length of about 7" height of at least 4" and the bottom part i would like 3". A simple yes or no answer could please me about the dimensions. While I agree with the part of idiots copying the engineering, every business has to deal with it. However for me , while i could copy something. Its not worth my time or effort to copy something that costs $100. I would rather go out and buy something that has a proven design and comes with all the links and mounts. Sort of like why would i take 3 hours to build something by hand when i can spend $100 and an hour of my time to put it together? That 2 hours i would rather spend at work making money to spend on parts. Hopefully i didnt come off too harsh and you understand where im coming from. |

Then PM insanerc and ask your questions straight to the manufacturer. As an aside, I think you responded properly... the "idiots" I mentioned would have just threw a hissy fit. |

Thanks thats what i needed to know. I just wanted to primarily make sure the bottom of the chassis was long enough to protect the outputs of the tranny but short enough so that the driveshafts wont hit on droop. Yes im new to rc crawling but not to full size crawling. I dont know if the same ideas are present in the rc field, so my terminology might be incorrect. | |
