here is my current comp crawler , the DC3 6061 t6 all aluminum custom D,M,G chassis w/50/50 1/4 upper & 5/16 custom lower links , 12" wb tlt axles w/ fat rock axle c's f/r & yeah hubs f/r 3 jato drive shafts & 6 harden yoks mini MIP tranny ( witch is now a transfer case) 2 - RC4WD 4 to 1 GRU"S (up front W / motor) motor 35 to & 75 wind , sence there is no pinon gear to change , you chage the moter to adj the speed & tork speedo NOVAK super duty custom motor mount , sevro mount , battery mount rc/10 shocks RC4WD wheels extras: battery can be mounted in the front or rear , custon steel skid plates ,7.2 to 14.8 volt lipo batterys. That's a good looking rig. I'm not normally a fan of limiting straps, but yours are tastefully executed. Interesting motor mount option too. Looks like you've already anticipated possibly hitting the end bell on stuff. You STACKED 2 GRU's? Wow, that's got to be low torque. Nice job!! Great looking chassis So what performance advantage is there by running your motor on the front axle? Less tourque twist? (thats a SWAG)

How has this build been doing? Gotten a chance to smash it up a lot? Did you bring a few tubers to some of last seasons comps? The style looks very familiar, I like it.

yes i have ben testing this rig and no i have not made it down to any cmrcrc event's yet this year, but next month i plan to bring all the kcrc member's down to the next cmrcrc comp and all my new chassis cant keep axles in it , wating for the rcp cvd's to ship ,can't wate. check out the new ROCK MONKEY in this thred! thanks zorlac Last edited by the DMG; 04-13-2007 at 10:49 AM. |

I would like to know how many rolls down the Capen hill that shift servo would handle. Cool idea though! I didnt notice it from the overall pic.
