Default Twinset "Ugly" chassis TLT

Here's my new ride.
Locked front and rear axles
Traxxas wheels
Masher 2K tires w/o inserts
traxxas shocks
Mtroniks Viper RV15
Integy 55 turn motor
Towerpro mg995
Pede tranny

I have traxxas yokes # 4628. They mount up great to the tranny but do I have to cut off parts to get it to mount to the axles?

Yep, shave them down until they fit.

Nice build!

I got it from a guy called Andy. Twinset is his name, I think he's on this board with the same screen name. I also have a Clod with a chassis by him too..

That's him.

Bad news, I just got my Traxxas drive shafts and they are too short by about an inch. The wheel base is huge. It's almost a tire longer than my B3 buggy when rear wheels are lined up. Can someone give me some hints on how to shorten the car? The links are red trassas 113's.

Shorter links.

Maximum WB in 2.2 is only 12.5" so adjust mounting points or get/make shorter links. The Traxxas long half shafts can also be modified to fit, i.e. lengthed using two sets!

So know I know how people apply the front digs to the TLT rears. Makes sense now. Might have to try the socket method if I can get enough time to do it and materials.

Those red longer links will give you a wheelbase of about 14". Get the shorter ones for a WB of 12"

If you like that WB and just need longer driveshafts, just cut a few of them up and glue them together...

i run male shafts on axle and tranny sides. cut female shaft long as possible, slide one end over male shaft glue it and then slide over other male shaft and DONT GLUE THIS SIDE so that it will still slide.hence the name sliders.lol
