what is the best shock to run on a tlt based tuber?

losi buggy and or stadium truck rears. period. they can take 5 times the sideloading and still function correctly. I tested them against many other shocks last year and they are the best shock out there bar none

I have always been a big fan of Losi shocks. I also like HPI shocks. Look for a stadium truck rear shock. Most are about 4" in length. Maxx shocks are cheap and plentiful. But I think the Losi and HPI shocks are much smoother.

i run maxx shocks. but do use losi springs. whites up front and yellows on back.
