I'm not sure but i think there was a small hi-cup with the ones that were released . But i am sure they will be back in production soon. Kinda want some myself. :-(

to me they look like they would help in some places and be detrimental in some. But overall i think it would be a good upgrade although pricey....I love the functional bling

However my LHS has not been very happy with rc4wd lately for some reason

Watch the Vendors section and see what pops up . Or just ask in the vendors section.

they probably don't like waiting two months to get the wrong part. I have had bad luck with them as well, except when I ordered the r2.

Me personally, I just don't want to make my rig any taller than it already is.
I think the small amount of ground-to-axle clearance you gain is far from worth the price of 2 pair of portals. Just my opinion though.

One day I'd like to build a scale Unimog, though. Portals would be a must-have for that since real Unimogs have them also...

I got a set. They do make a big difference in height! It can help or hurt in some situations. The V2 where supposes to be better, but I ran mine for about 5 min and stripped out the wheel axle from the inner gear. I e-mailed RC4WD a week ago and have yet to hear from them about it. I think they are on vacation.

Keep in mind as always with new products comes some problems. RC4WD has always made things right. They have a lot of new products which makes it hard for them to keep up.:-(
