| Mounting R2 in a k2-3l
is drilling four holes in the chassis plate a little over kill... if so would two holes should be strong enough?

i just used two in my j2... 2 should be fine.

two holes will work just fine i drilled 4 and it is great but it only needs 2

As said before 2 would work, you may want to use diagnal holes though. Not really 100% needed but would help just a little.

I would also like two use the diagnal holes but I want the tranny to be all the way to the edge of the chassis plate so I can leave the drive shafts the same lenght.. or does that really matter?

| Doesn't really matter, but when you get into having spares laying around, having parts that can be interchanged front and rear is a good idea. So instead of spare front and rear specific shafts, you'll just need one.

I only used 2 holes in my 2.2 TXT, and I grenaded the innards of the tranny, but the 2 bolts held it just fine. |
