Default TLT tuber question

I am making a custom tuber body for my TLT and was wondering. Do most of you paint your tuber bodies and if so what is a good durable paint you can shoot at home? I am including a picture of the frame, if you see any screw ups, comments, or questions please reply to this post.

looks good.

I use epoxy paint... you can get it at any hardware store. The only problem is it only comes in white, black, and tan since it is made for appliances (dishwasher, fridge, etc.) very durable once it cures.

Ive used that same paint on other stuff, tough stuff

What kind of materials did you use on your chassis? Will it rust? Reguardless of what kind of paint you end up using, if any, it will scratch and chip, just a matter of time. Including powdercoat. So if you are going to paint it I would go with a color that wont show the scratches as bad like silver, white, yellow, etc. You could clear coat it too.

Looks good so far. I like the layout.

Default Tuber in primer

Here's a picture of the tuber primed. I picked up this Krylon paint to try out on it. It states it protects from rust, scratches and bumps. I figured I would give it a shot of this and see how it goes. I will post pictures and give a report on it's durability.

Default Newest picture

Here's a picture with the first coat of that paint. It isn't as "grabby" as I thought it would be. I don't think it will cause any extra hang ups. One more coat after 24 hrs and I will start assembling it.
