| give me your worst!!!
So this is really my first project, TLT based crawler. Give me your worst, I need advise on how it looks, I like the way it performs but think it could always be better. The pics are rough It's got 3" clearance at 12.5"wb Got the RC4WD 303 steel axle kit with locker for the front and the straight axles, locker, and straight axle adapters for the rear The dig, servo mounted on the side of the chassis w/TLT knuckle modified NN chassis waiting for the other Punisher shaft I ordered and the R2 w/disconnect!!! Like I said, give me your worst! |

Looks real good. ...The only thing I would suggest trying is to mount the shocks in the highest hole on the chassis, Thus lowering ride height a little bit, for a lower cg |

do you have much glitching issues? youre link geometry is off ,you might want to bring the top link chassis mounts down a bit.Maybe throw that esc on youre top links instead of on the chassis.good luck.

Your castor angle of the front knuckles is terrible. You want the kingpins either perpendicular to the ground, or even slightly leaning to the back. Does that thing even turn? |

I moved the ESC behind the steering servo on the front, but as far as lowering it, the rocks I have to play on are larger river rocks packed in tightly, so I need the clearance (but can adjust it as needed). For the geometry...I just made the links work for the most part, I have no method to what I'm doing (obviously). I do plan on figuring that out though. And the castor angle is fixed, it was one of those things I didn't get to yet. RockMike: when you say move the top links down on the chassis, you mean drill a hole for it or use the holes already down there? Should I put em where the lower links are mounted with some spacers in between? Like I said it's my first attempt, all the tips and comments are helpful!!! Thanks |

i would drill 3 holed above the lower link holes and start playing withit,if you put them all the way down like you said im thinkin that would be too extreme, you would probably notice it bounceing at wheel speed massive antisquate.
