Are you saying you turned it backwards for like bta steering? Or when you turn like turning the left knuckle left? If BTA, switch your knuckles. Put the left on the right and the right on the left that should help. But pics would be nice.

Kyle, bring it to the shop today if you're coming in. I'll see if I can't figure out what the problem is. Also, bring the tuberjeep if you can.

cembom is right on this you have to switch the left to the right and right to left. When you do a b.t.a. setup.I am putting my axle c's on right now,got me some of those staite axle adapters also, cool stuff, hopefully no more broken axles.

Yeah I had that problem with my stock knuckle. Dont have any upgraded ones though. Some one needs to make straight axle parts for the WK pronto.

i have also had that problem with a kingpin that was to short and fat. the kinp pin would grab the axle C and as the knuckle turned it would tighten or loosen the kingpin, making the knucle feel like it was binding. from my understand you want the kingpin to sit on the knuckle and not the axle c. so take a good look at yours. just my .02 thanks |

You will have to switch sides. If you notice one of the stubs on the knuckle is longer than the other.

| The part of the knuckle that the kingpin (pivot) screw threads into. The knuckles are left and right side specific, if you switch the axle "C"'s also you should be able to make it work (I think, I've never tried it). Edit: Duh. I mean just switch the left to the right for a BTA. What I meant is you cant just turn the knuckle over. Last edited by Grizzly4x4; 07-26-2007 at 03:06 PM. |

I had that exact same problem on one knuckle and one of my trucks. My problem was due to the knuckle and cvd not rotating on the same plane. Was the axle c hard to get on? Make sure you trimmed the axle housing enough so that the axle c goes on fairly easy. On mine the knuckle would rotate easly without the bearings in but as soon as you put bearing in, it would bind right before the steering maxed out. Hope this helps.
